MY REACTION TO THE PRIVILEGE SPEECH

good morning, lady and gentlemen, distinguished colleagues. i rise on this occasion to give some lights to some recent events. although i can only stand for myself, with the permission of my colleagues I would like to use the pronoun - we. We the members of these august body not affiliated with the administration party allign ourselves together not as oppositions but as guardians of the interest of the people of this municipality. since we were elected by the people with different parties as to the mayor, we feel that it is our duty to continue to fuction as such. we are not necesesarily against the policies of the administration party but actually we are with them when the common end is the general welfare of Sinaitenians. The administration party need not be alarmed but instead focus on serving the municipality. The only purpose of our block is to oversee that this body will not be stamp pad of the executive department but a body that is proactive, and responsive Sanggunian that enacts effective legislative measures for a peaceful and progressive Sinait.
